Former New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez was reportedly stabbed in Indianapolis, leaving him hospitalized with critical injuries.

The violence unfolded on a street downtown early Saturday morning just after 12:30 a.m., TMZ Sports reported.

When officers arrived on the scene, they found two people wounded, including the former first-round draft pick. He was rushed to the hospital, though his exact condition was unclear.

No further information about the incident was provided, including details about the second person involved.

Sanchez, who was in Indianapolis for his broadcasting gig with Fox Sports, was supposed to call Sunday’s Colts versus Raiders game at Lucas Oil Stadium.

“We are deeply grateful to the medical team for their exceptional care and support,” Fox Sports said in a statement to TMZ. “Our thoughts and prayers are with Mark, and we ask that everyone please respect his and his family’s privacy during this time.”
