Duke had something to celebrate hours before playing Indiana State on Friday.

The Blue Devils received a commitment from 6-11 Cameron Williams, the top-ranked power forward recruit in the 2026 class out of St. Mary’s High in Phoenix.

Williams made his announcement on a CBS Sports HQ on YouTube, picking Duke over Arizona and Texas.

Williams was ranked No. 3 nationally by ESPN and No. 4 according to 247Sports, taking a considerable bump up in the spring and summer while playing for Compton Magic on the Adidas 3SSB circuit.

Duke coach Jon Scheyer and his staff continue to build an impressive 2026 recruiting class. Already committed are wing Bryson Howard of Frisco, Texas, and 7-1 Maxime Meyer from the IMG (Fla.) Academy. 247Sports has Duke’s recruiting class ranked third nationally.

Last month, Williams attended Duke’s Count to Craziness at Cameron Indoor Stadium that jump-started preseason practice.
