Holiday Mathis on

The cosmic squares to Mars and Neptune ratchet up the tension, but a fortuitous situation with Jupiter suggests "all's well that ends well" (which also happens to be history's most spoilerific Shakespearean play title!). The omens are auspicious for those outcomes teetering precariously in the balance. It is said that the difference between comedy and tragedy is simply where you end the story.

ARIES (March 21-April 19). Others are telling you to take a break, saying you've earned it -- but you don't feel done yet. You are driven by an internal sense of purpose, unfinished business and the high personal standards that have brought you this far.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20). Today shows you playing to win: calm, composed and strategic, thinking several steps ahead. Someone might try to provoke you or distract you, but they won't succeed because you're too focused.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21). Because not everyone expresses themselves with candor, you might not realize just how deeply your words or presence are felt. But, boy, is your energy landing today, especially with those who notice everything and say little.

CANCER (June 22-July 22). Do you sense the exciting possibilities ahead? Revel in them for a sweet moment and it will be much easier to make the first move as the new you, letting go of the past so your hands are free to grab onto the current trends and ride them into new experiences.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). You love your space. Shouldn't it love you back? Make your home match who you're becoming. Comfort, beauty and ease are worth rearranging for. Even small changes in layout or routine can lighten your load and lift the whole mood.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). Many opportunities and suggestions won't be worth pursuing. Well-meaning people will push ideas that don't fit your reality because they don't fully understand what you're dealing with. Save yourself some time with a quick "thank you" and no follow-up.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). The choices you're making now shape more than just your path. They ripple out to others, too -- no pressure. Stay sharp, stay tuned, stay aware. The right idea will ring out like a bell.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). Being everyone's go-to feels good. Almost addictive. But don't let the applause distract you from your own priorities. Help where you can, but protect your time and direction. Your path deserves loyalty, too.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). There's a glamorous part and a not so glamorous part of a project. Booking a venue is exciting; coordinating parking, signage or contingency plans is the slog. Sketching ideas is easy; production is a grind. In the end, you'll shine because you persisted through tedious details.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). Your intuition is dialed all the way up. Follow the odd instinct. Tonight, your dreams will speak, too. Set an intention to remember them in the morning. Something deep within you is trying to get your attention.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). Close relationships give back today, and in more ways than one. For starters, it's wonderful not to have to explain yourself because of deep familiar knowledge and the kind of respect that puts people in sync.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). Momentum builds when you stop over-talking and start doing. You and a partner are in sync, so trust that and let collaboration happen in motion, not in meetings. Your teamwork will impress higher-ups.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (June 23). Healthy love leads the list of what you'll love about this year. What begins as a spark becomes something rich and steady -- a deep connection with moments of magic, purpose and a feeling that you're building something meaningful together. More highlights: a community project takes off; collaboration brings fresh opportunities; joint finances improve exponentially. In fact, your dream financial partnerships are in the works. Scorpio and Virgo adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 5, 11, 24, 8 and 30.

CELEBRITY PROFILES: Singular star Frances McDormand has earned four Academy Awards, including Best Actress for "Nomadland." Notably, she also won Best Picture for "Nomadland" as a producer, marking her as the first person to achieve both honors for the same film. The outspoken actress and activist was born on the cusp of Gemini and Cancer. Mercury is expressed in the versatile sign of the twins, while the sun and moon in soulful Cancer emphasize nurturing instincts and intuition.
