“19 Kids and Counting” alum Joseph Duggar sent several love emails from jail to his wife, Kendra, following his arrest last month for allegedly molesting a 9-year-old girl during a Florida vacation in 2020.
Duggar sent the first email just less than a week after his arrest in Tontitown, Arkansas, on March 18, according to court documents obtained by TMZ.
“hopefully this finds you well. love you sweetie!
Kendra responded within hours of receiving message, writing back: “I got your message! I love you!! Hang in there.”
In another email, 31-year-old Duggar appears to be reminiscing about a recent phone call with Kendra.
“great talking with you today! i always love getting to hear your voice! hope you have a wonderful grade filled day!” he said, adding several bible passages that have been helping him cope while behind bars.
Kendra also sent Duggar the lyrics to a Megan Woods song, “The Truth,” including “I don’t belong to lies, I belong to you.”
Duggar was initially charged with lewd and lascivious molestation of a victim less than 12 years old and lewd and lascivious behavior conducted by a person 18 years or older. Days after his arrest, Kendra too was taken into custody and they were both hit with four counts each of second-degree endangering the welfare of a minor and second-degree false imprisonment.
The latter charges are unrelated to the molestation case.
Duggar is now back home with 27-year-old Kendra after posting a $600,000 bond during a court hearing in Florida on Friday. He is due back in May for his arraignment.
