Lamar Odom thinks a "miracle" saved his life -- not Khloe Kardashian.

The former sports star suffered a near-fatal overdose in 2015, and Lamar has now downplayed his ex-wife's role in his recovery.

Lamar - who was married to Khloe from 2009 until 2016 - told the Today show: "God saved my life. My lord saved my life, honestly."

Lamar, 46, suffered six heart attacks and 12 strokes and was in a coma for three days before requiring months of rehabilitation.

Khloe, 41, assisted with his recovery after pausing their divorce proceedings.

When host Sheinelle Jones told Lamar that a lot of people felt Khloe "rode hard" for him, he acknowledged that she "took care" of him.

He added: "God took care of me the most. What I came back from is like a medical miracle."

The pair's relationship was revisited in Netflix's Untold: The Death and Life of Lamar Odom, in which Khloe opened up about Lamar's struggles.

She said: "The drug buildup was getting worse and worse. There were many times Lamar would go for 12 hours or two days and escape rehab. He would go on a drug bender and no one could find him.

"I was either looking for him in alleys or looking for him in motels. He would have tinfoil cutouts or spoons and he was freebasing things and leaving things everywhere. I remember needing to go to hotel rooms to clean up after him."

Khloe added: "I was such an enabler without knowing I was an enabler. But I just felt such a responsibility to cover this up, hold it together and protect him."

Meanwhile, Khloe recently claimed that she has "absolutely no fear about death".

The reality TV star suggested that she'll go to heaven one day, and Khloe insisted she doesn't have any fear of dying.

Speaking on her Khloe In Wonder Land podcast, she explained: "I have absolutely no fear about death.

"Like, I know where I'm going. I'm excited to go there, but not in a way where I would hurt myself. I know that can sound really morbid.

"I just know it's going to be such a beautiful place and I'll be with all my loved ones."
