Tony Germano, a Brazilian actor known for voicing Netflix and Nickelodeon characters, died after suffering a fall from his roof earlier this week, according to reports. He was 55 years old.

Germano was checking in on the renovations at a home in Sao Paulo when he slipped from the roof Wednesday morning. Per Folha de Sao Paulo, Germano had been staying at his parents’ home in Brazil prior to accident, during which he apparently lost his balance.

A representative for the actor confirmed in a statement to People that Germano “did not survive” the injuries he sustained during the fall.

“Tony leaves behind a legacy of dedication, generosity and immense talent that touched everyone who had the privilege of working with him,” the statement said. “His absence will be deeply felt.”

An actor for more than 30 years, Germano voiced a range of characters on Nickelodeon’s “Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn” and Disney’s live-action “Beauty and the Beast,” in addition to Netflix shows like “Go, Dog, Go!” He also has credits in “Elena of Avalor,” “The Muppets” and “Sheriff Callie’s Wild West.”
