Lukas Gage looks back on his whirlwind wedding to Chris Appleton with "humility and laughter ... and a little bit of sadness".

The White Lotus actor, 30, tied the knot with the hair stylist in Las Vegas in 2023 after just two months of dating with reality star Kim Kardashian officiating the ceremony and country singer Shania Twain serenading the couple as they walked down the aisle, but the union collapsed just months later and Lukas admits he still has mixed feelings about it all.

He told New York Post column PageSix: "I'm so clearly lost in that moment. It's OK, though. [It's] funny, and I can look back with humility and laughter, but there is a little bit of sadness."

The ceremony was broadcast on Kim's reality show The Kardashians and Lukas admits it was an "insane" moment to be coming out as gay on TV.

He said: "It's kind of funny and insane that Shania Twain is singing me down the aisle while I'm coming out on national television with a fur jacket on and straightened hair. Like, I really had to make a statement with that one."

Lukas previously admitted he was going through a personal struggle at the time of the wedding due to the medication he was taking.

During an appearance on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast, he explained: "I don't recognise that person. I don't know who that person is.

"And that is really, really disturbing. "I don't know that. I don't see anyone beyond the eyes ...

"It's like I talk about, there is a very crazy way that sometimes we go about prescribing people medication.

"And I can joke about it and have humility and laugh about it because it's funny and it's like, whatever."

However, Lukas does not want to "put blame on that" because he "felt like he was in love" at the time.

He added: "There was a part of me that was, you know, in love or felt like he was in love and happy and just going with the flow or thought he was happy and going with the flow.

"But there was another part of me that I didn't recognise myself, and everyone around me didn't recognise who I was."

Once the Road House star stopped taking the unnamed medication, he "suddenly had clarity". Lukas said: "And then getting off of them, I suddenly had clarity, and I was like, 'Oh s***.' I just blew up my life."
