Adrian Raeside

Adrian Raeside was expelled from his only art class at the age of 15, and spent the next few years working odd jobs in Canada. His later career was more fortuitous, however, as he went on to become a long-standing editorial cartoonist for the Victoria Times Columnist. In 1988, he created an animation studio, and went on to produce cartoons for CBS, Turner Broadcasting, and Children's Television Workshop, as well as adapting some of Jim Henson's work for animation. Raeside's comic strip, "The Other Coast," began national syndication in 2001, and now appears in more than 200 newspapers worldwide. Two collections of his comics are now in print, and he is also the author of twelve books and the writer and illustrator of the children's book series "Dennis the Dragon."
