Mike Peters

Cartoonist Mark Peters is a graduate of Washington University and a Pulitzer Prize winner for his work as an editorial cartoonist. He is probably most famous, however, for "Mother Goose and Grimm," the popular syndicated comic strip he began in 1984. More than two decades later, the comic strip has become one of the nations favorites, syndicated in more than 800 newspapers and one of the top-rated comics in nationwide newspaper surveys.

Besides his work in the funny pages, Mike Peters is on the Board of Trustees for the International Museum of Cartoon Art, the Board of Advocates of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America, and an honorary member of the American Association of Therapeutic Humor. He is also a regular speaker at editor and publisher conventions, and has appeared in regular segments on NBC's Nightly News and many other popular news programs.
