Pistons' Cunningham returns to lineup in 120-112 victory over Hawks

ATLANTA — The Detroit Pistons fended off multiple rallies from the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday night, ultimately securing a 120-112 victory at State Farm Arena. The Pistons extended their winning streak to 11, while improving their overall record to 13-2.
The Pistons had a commanding 19-point lead midway through the second quarter, but the Hawks gradually chipped away at the lead.
Dyson Daniels' layup at the 6:50 mark of the fourth quarter brought the Hawks within a point (99-98); however, the Pistons regained momentum with a 9-0 run over the next three minutes.
Cade Cunningham returned to the lineup and led the Pistons with 25 points, 10 assists, six rebounds and a pair of steals. Jalen Duren followed up his exceptional performance from Monday night with 24 points, eight rebounds and three assists.
Jalen Johnson led the Hawks with 25 points, eight rebounds, seven assists, and three steals. Onyeka Okongwu added 25.
