Singer Paulina Rubio's Miami Beach home just sold for $17 million

MIAMI — Financial troubles have recently followed Mexican singer Paulina Rubio, but the sale of her Miami Beach residence in December for $16.8 million in an off-market deal could bring relief to “la Chica Dorada.”

The waterfront home on Di Lido Island on the Venetian Causeway, 3,800 square feet with four bedrooms and two bathrooms, was designed by Spanish architect Ricardo Bofill Jr., who was Rubio’s partner from 1995 to 2004.

The house was built on a 0.3-acre lot purchased by the singer together with her mother, actress Susana Dosamantes, who died in 2022.

In 1996, the duo paid $520,000 for the lot, according to real estate outlet The Real Deal.

Conceived as a modern tropical mansion visible to drivers crossing the causeway that connects Miami Beach to Miami, the house stood out for its tall columns flanked by nearly transparent white curtains from ceiling to floor, opening panoramically to the pool and Biscayne Bay.

The buyer was Tidal Property Group, a Delaware-registered entity, which acquired it from one of the singer’s companies, P. Blonde Studios Music, based in Coral Springs.

Paulina Rubio has battled legally with her former partners over custody of her children. Her first husband, Spanish businessman Nicolás Vallejo-Nájera “Colate,” is the father of her eldest child, Andrea Nicolás, and Mexican singer Gerardo Bazúa is the father of her second child, Eros.

The profit margin from the sale of Rubio’s Miami Beach home could help cover these and other expenses. A lawsuit against the singer for unpaid months of rent on another Miami property she was leasing has already been resolved, news agency EFE reported.

“Paulina has no legal or mortgage problems nor with the landlord. She has not lived for many months in the house she was supposedly evicted from. That’s false,” said a person close to the singer’s team, denying rumors that she had been evicted.
