After President-elect Donald Trump’s victory over Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election, many celebrities have expressed their disapproval and even publicly shared their plans to leave the U.S.

Here’s a list of your favorite stars who might not be sticking around for a second Trump administration.

Eva Longoria

Eva Longoria announced that she and her family are officially relocating out of Los Angeles and will split time between Spain and Mexico amid the election results.

“I get to escape and go somewhere. Most Americans aren’t so lucky,” Longoria said in an interview with Marie Claire on Wednesday. “They’re going to be stuck in this dystopian country, and my anxiety and sadness is for them.”

She noted that the U.S. is “a scary place” and will remain that way if “Trump keeps his promises.”

America Ferrera

America Ferrera is leaving America in search of a new life in the U.K. she is said to be “sick” after the reelection of Trump.

Earlier this week, reports emerged that the “Barbie” actress was spotted searching for schools for her children, 6-year-old Sebastian and 4-year-old Lucia. Ferrera shares the kids with her husband Ryan Piers Williams.

A source told Hello Magazine, “It looks like she’s planning to move to South West London.”

Laverne Cox

Laverne Cox is also promising to pack her bags after Trump’s victory, noting she made up her mind on election night.

“He had something like 246 electors. I was just like I’m out,” Cox said on “Just for Variety” podcast. “I cried.”

Cox explained her fears for herself and the trans community. “As a public figure, with all my privilege, I’m scared, and I’m particularly scared because I’m a public figure. I feel like I could be targeted. I think they spent close to $100 million on anti-trans ads,” Cox said speaking of the Trump campaign.

As for where the actor and activist plans to go, she says, “We’re doing research on different cities in Europe and in the Caribbean.”

Cher

Cher was so distraught at the thought of Trump’s victory in 2016, she threatened moving to another planet. “If he were to be elected, I’m moving to Jupiter, she tweeted at the time.

Although she didn’t end up making the move out into the outer solar system, she says this time around she’s packing her bags. “This time I will leave the country,” the Grammy Award winner promised in an interview with The Guardian.

The “Believe” singer even says the first Trump administration affected her health. “I almost got an ulcer the last time Trump was in office.”

Sophie Turner

Sophie Turner recently returned to the U.K. after her split from singer Joe Jonas. And while personal reasons were a major factor, the “Game of Thrones” alum expressed her discomfort with the state of politics in the U.S.

“The gun violence, Roe v. Wade being overturned, everything just kind of piled on,” she told Harper’s Bazaar, adding she “knew it was time to get the f–k out of there.”

Sophie told told the outlet she’s relieved and “so happy to be back.”

In May, she told British Vogue, “women in the U.S. are being stripped of their rights, left, right and center. It all contributed to this feeling of I have to get out, I have to get out.”
