'THE LIFE OF CHUCK'

Rated R for language.

What it’s about: A cosmic, philosophical extraordinary story about one ordinary life.

The kid attractor factor: While this is a life-affirming story that can appeal to a wide swath of audiences, it's more of an adult drama.

Good lessons/bad lessons: Live your life to the fullest — get out there and dance.

Violence: Some apocalyptic images and themes of death and dying.

Language: Some swearing throughout.

Sex: None

Drugs: None

Parents’ advisory: Appropriate for all ages, though some of the themes of death and apocalypse are rather heavy for younger audiences.

'FROM THE WORLD OF JOHN WICK: BALLERINA'

Rated R for strong/bloody violence throughout, and language.

What it’s about: Set in the John Wickiverse, a young girl is trained as a ballerina assassin before setting out to find the group that murdered her father.

The kid attractor factor: This hyper-violent action movie doesn't much appeal to kids — maybe teens.

Good lessons/bad lessons: Vengeance is its own code. Question your choices — is it fate or a choice?

Violence: Extreme bloody violence throughout — combat, weapons, shooting, stabbing, grenades, flamethrowers, et al.

Language: Some swearing.

Sex: None

Drugs: None

Parents’ advisory: Way too violent for younger kids. For teens and up only
