Jeep has brought five concept vehicles to the red rock testing grounds of Moab, Utah for next week's Easter Jeep Safari.

In its 60th year, the Safari usually draws around 20,000 off-roading enthusiasts — and a couple thousand customized Jeeps — each spring to the southern Utah town of 5,000 residents. Throughout the week they prowl dozens of sand and slickrock-filled trails that spider out into surrounding hills.

Jeep will have a home base at Walker Drug in downtown Moab, where it'll host a vehicle display and events including a drone show. Because Jeep owners love to customize their vehicles, the gathering is also a place where executives like Vince Galante, the brand's vice president of global design, like to poke around and look for inspiration — including unusual features or colors that might be integrated into future mainstream Jeep designs.

Jeep CEO Bob Broderdorf called Moab a "proving ground" for the brand, adding in a statement that the annual event has helped shape Jeep for decades and helped its 4x4 vehicles evolve.

Below are the five concepts that the brand will show off in town and on the trails this year. Jeep is also bringing a sixth vehicle, a purpose-built Gladiator meant for real-world trail work, that is not part of the concept lineup.

Wrangler ANVIL 715 a take on the Rubicon

Built from a Wrangler Rubicon, this 392 Hemi V8-powered concept is supposed to be ideal for overlanding, or extended trips through the backcountry. Key mods include a restyled front nose, inspired by Jeeps from the 1960s, an onboard air system for quick tire pressure adjustments on the trail, extra lighting, and custom upholstery.

XJ Pioneer 'a cultural time capsule'

This 1984 two-door XJ Pioneer aims to be a "cultural time capsule" celebrating the brand's 85 years and also the return of the Cherokee nameplate for 2026. On the inside, designers tucked away little custom details nodding to the era of big hair and cassette tapes during the original Cherokee's 1980s and '90s heyday; on the exterior are mods including a suspension lift, custom fender flares and custom 17-inch wheels.

Wrangler BUZZCUT offers 'extreme capability'

Jeep describes this two-seater as having "extreme capability," including with more storage for longer trips offroad. It has a chopped fastback-style roofline, a lift kit, a snorkel, and 37-inch tires.

Grand Wagoneer Commander in 'stealth' mode

Jeep updated its big and luxurious Grand Wagoneer model for 2026. Here, it brings a "stealth-inspired" version to Moab that includes massive tires, a custom roof rack, skid plates and custom graphics.

Wrangler Laredo a throwback

Equipped with a V-6 and a manual transmission, this throwback rig was designed with a "fewer features, more feel" philosophy, Jeep said, which meant retro design cues, including on the seats, and a custom tan top that can be pulled back.
