Zipping Through Libra Season
On the first full day of Libra season, the chatty Gemini moon aligns with lucky Jupiter, portending the kinds of conversations that spark partnerships. Connections will be made in the style of a zipper, one notch at a time. Avoid rushing ahead or trying to fit too much information, conversation or commitment into one meeting.
ARIES (March 21-April 19). You're an artist striving to achieve your piece de resistance, and you'll make progress today. You're really homing in on the specific choices that will bring about the desired result.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20). "Champagne for my real friends, real pain for my sham friends," so the saying goes. Though you don't wish pain on anyone today, you will certainly feel the affection of your true-blue friends, and what a difference it will make.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21). Keep potential sources of inspiration close. If you get too bored, a feral impulsivity could lead the way. You can't control when inspiration strikes, but you can put yourself around more or less inspiring people and situations.
CANCER (June 22-July 22). You've searched for a more efficient, cost-effective way to accomplish your work, and here it is ... theoretically. Dive in, learn all you can, and prove the theory. These efforts take time, but in the end, they'll save much, much more than they took.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). You're on a path. It doesn't look like one, but it must be because you're not where you were yesterday, and the same goes for tomorrow. What horizon are you facing? What's appealing about this outcome? Question it today, adjust tomorrow.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). Even when you take on an activity just for kicks, you still like to plan it out because indiscriminate kicking is a waste of energy. Besides, at some point this hobby of yours could turn into something more.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). Though you can diffuse tension and de-escalate conflict with the best of them, it's a skill you'd rather not have to use. Luckily, this aptitude has applications beyond the conflicts it prevents. It translates into a solid confidence you carry with you wherever you go.
SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). When people come together, the group dynamic exaggerates their common qualities. Where aims are benevolent, good prevails. If the aim is aggressive, there's a fight. This is why you don't join groups indiscriminately. You check them out awhile first.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). There's part of you that is extremely status quo averse, so even when things are going well, you feel the need to tweak, swerve or throw a twist into the game just to make things more interesting.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). If only everyone were the person their dog thinks they are. Though you're loyal and generous in your assessment of others, experience has taught you to heed tiny signals and plan for contingencies in case people don't deliver what they promise.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). You can't change the past or stop the inevitable, but you can change your framing of it. You can also alter your approach, soften your stance, accept, ignore, harmonize, reject or any other tweak you can think of in the name of moving on.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). You like to find out what's different about people, especially people who so closely resemble the others in a group. To assume every individual is unique is to prevent the sort of mistakes that happen for those who typecast.
TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (Sept. 23). A stellar attitude and quick timing help you get what you go for this year. You're drawn to the endeavors that others need and find value in. A side hustle augments your fortunes in more ways than financial. More highlights: Even when you don't set out to place yourself in the center of the social swirl, the motion of the year will keep putting you there. Taurus and Virgo adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 3, 15, 6, 27 and 19.
CELEBRITY PROFILES: A Bruce Springsteen biopic is coming soon starring Jeremy Allen White as the Boss. And so continues the legacy of the rock icon singing the songs of hope and resilience as an answer to the struggle and disillusionment of everyday human experience. Springsteen was born when the sun, moon, Mercury and Neptune were all in Libra, the sign of art, harmony and unity.
