Want to experience 'Stranger Things?' Head to this North Texas mall

FORT WORTH, Texas — North Texans will soon have a chance to explore the Upside Down.
Netflix’s new theme park — Netflix House — is opening Thursday, Dec. 11, at Galleria Dallas (13350 Dallas Parkway). The streamer has transformed part of the mall into a permanent entertainment venue that spans more than 100,000 square feet.
It’s free for folks to enter and explore the venue. However, there are a few paid experiences based on Netflix shows such as “Stranger Things” and “Squid Game.”
Speaking of “Stranger Things,” a few of the show’s stars stopped by Dallas on Tuesday for a red carpet in support of the venue. David Harbour (Sheriff Jim Hopper), Cara Buono (Karen Wheeler), Joe Chrest (Ted Wheeler) and Jake Connelly (Derek Turnbow), were all in town.
Here’s what to know about Netflix House.
What to expect at Netflix House in Dallas
Tickets for both experiences start at $39 and are available on Netflix House’s website.
“Squid Game: Survive the Trials” puts fans into the arena as they play “diabolical” games, face off against the “Front Man” and betray their friends for a chance to win it all. The third and final season of the Korean survival thriller series premiered in June.
“Stranger Things: Escape the Dark” puts fans into an immersive experience as they journey into the ruins of Hawkins to find three missing townspeople, while avoiding the lurking horror within. The fifth and final season of the 1980s sci-fi series released four episodes on Nov. 26, and will release three more on Dec. 25 and the finale on Dec. 31.
In addition, the “Netflix RePLAY” game room will have physical challenges, immersive story rooms and retro-style games. A few of the projects featured in the room include “Big Mouth,” “Love Is Blind,” “Floor Is Lava” and “Army of the Dead.”
The Dallas venue will also have a casual restaurant called “Netflix Bites,” which will serve food and craft cocktails playing on the service’s popular stories and characters. Find the full menu here.
There will also be a shop selling exclusive merchandise.
When Netflix House is open, where to park
Netflix House is open during the following days:
—10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday-Thursday
—10 a.m. to midnight Friday-Saturday
—10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday
There are two parking garages located near the venue at 13550 Dallas Parkway.
The Purple Garage is located underground and will give folks direct access to the park’s “red envelope” entrance, according to Netflix. The Orange Garage is located above ground just a few steps from the building.
More on Netflix House
In addition to Dallas, Netflix opened its Philadelphia location in November and plans to open a Las Vegas venue in 2027.
Fans can expect experiences based on “Wednesday” and “One Piece,” along with playing show-inspired mini-golf courses and virtual reality games at the Philadelphia location. There is also a “Tudum Theater,” where fans can catch the latest Netflix project on the big screen.
This isn’t the first time Netflix has opened an experience in North Texas.
Three years ago in summer 2022, Netflix opened a “Stranger Things” experience at Grapevine Mills mall in support of the show’s fourth season. The pop-up store allowed fans to browse popular locations from the show, along with buying exclusive merchandise.
Netflix also collaborated with Sandbox VR, which has a location in Fort Worth, on a game based on “Squid Game.”
