Smokey Robinson claims accuser recently 'stole thousands of dollars of valuables' from him

Smokey Robinson has claimed a woman accusing him of sexual assault stole "thousands of dollars" worth of valuables from him.
The 85-year-old Motown icon and his wife Frances have request a temporary restraining order against his accuser, known as Jane Doe 4, and alleged that the woman recently accessed a storage unit they own before taking their belongings.
As reported by the Daily Mail newspaper, the couple's attorneys have claimed in legal documents filed this week that the incident was carried out "covertly, with malicious intent [and] without consent".
It's alleged that the robbery on November 22 was carried out by Jane Doe 4 and two collaborators.
The Tears of a Clown singer's lawyer Christopher Frost told the newspaper in a statement: "As absurd as this turn of events might seem, it is yet another example of how Jane Doe 4 and her group of accusers are motivated by greed - even the pettiest kind. "We are already suing them for financial elder abuse, conversion, and invasion of privacy.
"We are taking swift action to ensure that that Jane Doe 4 and those assisting her cannot go near the Robinsons, a couple in their 70s and 80s, because there seem to be no limits on what they are willing to do."
The woman's legal team have denied the allegations and described them as "patently false".
Jane Doe 4's lawyers told PEOPLE magazine that the claims "represent a desperate fabrication intended to retaliate against Jane Doe 4 following her damning testimony during her December 5th deposition".
They added: "These baseless claims are nothing more than an attempt to distract and deflect from the serious new allegations brought by John Doe 1 and Jane Doe 5, whose filings further underscore the gravity of the misconduct at issue."
According to her lawyer, Jane Doe 4 "vehemently denies ever having visited that unit at any time since leaving her employment with the Robinsons".
In May this year, Jane Doe 4 and three other women accused Robinson of sexual assault and harassment in a $50 million lawsuit.
Jane Doe 4 alleged she was coerced into resigning from her job after "repeated sexual assault and sexual harassment".
Robinson has denied the allegations against him.
