Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott "do everything together".
The former couple - who have Liam, 18, Stella, 17, Hattie, 14, Finn, 13, and eight-year-old Beau together - finalised their divorce last month, more than two years after they went their separate ways, but the Beverly Hills, 90210 star is "so grateful" that she and the 59-year-old star are still on good times, even though she is "shocked" at just how smoothly they have adjusted to their new family dynamic.
Tori told People magazine: "I watched families go through horror stories with the parents, and at the end of the day, you created beings because you had so much love between you.
"We love and care about each other so much, and I was shocked just because I always read horror stories and everyone predicted it to be so messy, the divorce, and it was super easy and loving.
"We do family dinners, we do everything together, so it's really good for the kids."
The 52-year-old star is looking ahead to the new year and hopes 2026 will be "a little easier and a little more light and bright" for her.
She added: "I feel like I've been conjuring a lot of things, and I'm seeing them all manifest, and I'm like, 'Wow.'
"I think we're all not present because we're moving so fast through life, and I'm taking a beat to really focus on what I want for myself, my kids, my career, and I'm watching it happen the more I believe in it happening."
Tori recently described her divorce as a "drama-free uncoupling".
She explained on her misSpelling podcast: "As all of you have seen in the news. I am officially divorced. Wow. I said it out loud. It must be real.
"This is something never said. This was one of the easiest divorces in Hollywood.
"While we had our ups and downs and problems throughout our marriage, we had no problems throughout the divorce, which I think is a testament to the two of us and wanting to really step up and be there for the five humans we chose to create out of love."
Tori confirmed that the former couple reached a settlement in mediation and they did not need a trial.
She added: "This is a drama-free uncoupling and divorce."
