Scott Wolf has thanked his fans for their "love and support" as he confirmed his return to Doc.
The 57-year-old actor will be reprising his role as Dr. Richard Miller in the second season of the Fox show in what marks his first acting job since filing for divorce from Kelley Wolf, his wife of 21 years, in June.
Scott said in an Instagram video: "Hey, everyone! It's Scott Wolf here, and I could not be more excited to share that I will be coming back for season two of Doc on Fox.
"I cannot wait for you to see what's coming. It is full of surprises. Thank you all so much for the love and the support, and I'll see you this season on Fox."
Scott had previously accused his estranged wife of making "deeply disturbing and entirely" false allegations against him.
The Party of Five star - who was awarded sole custody of the couple's children Jackson, 16, Miller, 12, and Lucy, 11, - admitted in August that the situation between the pair was "incredibly difficult and contentious".
Scott told People magazine in a statement: "[My] continued hope is to have this most difficult chapter of our family's lives remain as private as possible, however, the well being of my children is at stake, and that will always be my priority.
"There are some significant challenges that are making our situation incredibly difficult and contentious, and it is tragic for all involved.
"I was informed of some deeply disturbing and entirely false allegations that were made about me by my estranged wife."
Kelley was later arrested and charged with harassing Scott and revealed last month that she would be going to rehab.
She said in court: "I have informed everyone that needs to know, I will be attending a [treatment centre] starting on September 12.
"This is what was asked of me by both Bart Johnson and Scott Wolf now for six months -- all I wanted to do was leave a marriage.
"I am excited to go to [the treatment centre]. I'm looking forward to it. My brother is taking me. It's fantastic. It's a great place. I recommended it all the time as a mental health professional myself, so September 12, I will be there for a month. I hope that helps."
