Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness finalize divorce in less than 3 weeks

NEW YORK — Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness are officially divorced less than three weeks after she filed to end their marriage of nearly 30 years.
Online records show the former couple’s divorce was finalized on June 12 in New York’s Suffolk County Supreme Court. According to People, the documents, which were uploaded online Monday, now list the status of the case as “disposed.”
The filing specified the terms of the divorce had been uncontested and would only need to be signed off by a judge.
Furness filed to end their marriage on May 27, roughly two years after the pair initially announced they’d broken up in the wake of speculation that Jackman was dating his “Music Man” co-star Sutton Foster.
In a statement to People late last month, Furness said her “heart and compassion goes out to everyone who has traversed the traumatic journey of betrayal.”
“It’s a profound wound that cuts deep, however I believe in a higher power and that God/the universe, whatever you relate to as your guidance, is always working FOR us,” she said.
Though rumors regarding Jackman and Foster had been swirling since 2022, the duo only confirmed their relationship earlier this year. Furness officially filed the divorce papers roughly five months later.
Jackman, 56, and Furness, 69, had been married since 1996 after meeting on the set of the Australian miniseries “Correlli.” Together, they share two adopted children: son Oscar, 25, and daughter Ava, 19.
Foster, meanwhile, filed for divorce from screenwriter Ted Griffin in October 2024, after 10 years of marriage. The exes share daughter Emily, whom they also welcomed via adoption.
