Johnny Depp has reflected on his protracted legal battle with ex-wife Amber Heard.

The “Pirates of the Caribbean” star — whose rocky marriage to the actress was highly publicized following their 2017 divorce he referred to as a “soap opera” that was “literally televised” — opened up about the career-derailing domestic abuse allegations in a wide-ranging profile published Sunday in The Times.

Depp won the former couple’s 2022 joint defamation trial with a seven-member jury in Fairfax, Virginia awarding him more than $10 million in compensatory and punitive damages.

The 62-year-old Hollywood veteran said he was determined to “fight to the bitter f—ing end” to clear his name.

“Look, it had gone far enough,” he said about pursuing the legal action. “I knew I’d have to semi-eviscerate myself.”

“Everyone was saying, ‘It’ll go away!’ But I can’t trust that. What will go away? The fiction pawned around the f—ing globe? No it won’t,” he reflected. “If I don’t try to represent the truth it will be like I’ve actually committed the acts I am accused of. And my kids will have to live with it. Their kids.”

Depp said he doesn’t feel contrite about suing Heard for libel in a court after she penned an op-ed piece describing herself as a “public figure representing domestic abuse” in 2018.

“No, I have no regrets about anything — because, truly, what can we do about last week’s dinner? Not a f—ing thing,” he said.

The couple, who wed in 2015, separated in 2016. Within a week after petitioning for divorce documents, Heard filed a domestic restraining order against her estranged husband on grounds of domestic abuse charges.
