Pete Davidson has had an apology from comedian Luenell for being "handsy" during a joint interview.

The comic, 31, appeared with 66-year-old Luenell on an episode of 'Everybody's Live with John Mulaney', and she got touchy-feely with her younger fellow performer during a blindfolded segment of the show, which happened shortly after Luenell had grilled Pete about his past relationships, including his time with Kim Kardashian and other ex-girlfriends.

In a chat with People, she has now admitted to having tickled Pete's leg during the segment, but insisted it was not her intention to make him uncomfortable.

She added: "I admit I was tickling Pete's leg during a segment of 'Everybody's Live with John Mulaney'; however, I did not mean to make Pete uncomfortable.

"I sincerely apologise. It was all done in jest."

She also expressed hope Pete would forgive her, adding: "I'm still willing to go out on a date with him if he so chooses. And I promise I won't touch him again unless he wants me to!"

A source was quoted by Page Six saying about the situation: "Pete was fine answering any questions. There was no issue with Kim, and he loves Mulaney. Everyone on the show was having a great time with him until this happened."

But the insider added "the whole set felt uncomfortable" watching the incident, which they added was "really inappropriate".

They also said even though Pete appeared fine in the moment, he only "played along" because he "didn't want to derail the live show".

During the interview, Luenell remarked to Pete: "To me, you're just an average guy… now, you've had Kim K," which caused Pete to visibly react with an "Oh, God" and cover his face with his hand.

The conversation then shifted to his other relationships, including with model Elsie Hewett.

Viewers of the skit also commented online about the awkwardness.
