'SNOW WHITE'
Rated PG for violence, some peril, thematic elements and brief rude humor.
What it’s about: This musical adaptation of the 1937 animated Disney feature has a modern sensibility and execution but a faithfully vintage style.
The kid attractor factor: Kids will be drawn to the fairy-tale story, cute animals, princess power and songs.
Good lessons/bad lessons: Kindness and gentleness are the true ways to connect with each other and amass power.
Violence: Some sequences of peril, danger, fighting, etc. Nothing too scary.
Language: None, just a couple of cheeky jokes.
Sex: None, a smooch or two.
Drugs: None
Parents’ advisory: Definitely aimed at a younger audience, this is fine for kids of all ages.

'THE ALTO KNIGHTS'
Rated R for violence and pervasive language.
What it’s about: It's Robert De Niro vs. Robert De Niro in the true story of the Genovese crime family, with the acting legend playing both Frank Costello and Vito Genovese.
The kid attractor factor: Not much, this is a Mafia movie with lots of violence.
Good lessons/bad lessons: Even your closest friends can stab you in the back.
Violence: Some extreme violence including shootings, beating, assassinations, etc.
Language: Swearing and strong language throughout.
Sex: Not much.
Drugs: References to drug trafficking and bootlegging.
Parents’ advisory: Too violent for younger audiences, for mature teens and up only.
