My whole life I thought I didn't like to read, then last night while taking time to read at a snails pace, I realized I DO like to read. In school, the emphasis was always on speed and I didn't realize that's what I basically subconsciously forced myself to do every time I read - speed read. It was never comfortable. I don't like speed reading, but I loved focused reading - reading to really consume new concepts fully. Taking it slow, writing notes, drawing the processes, and exploring ideas without consideration to speed. Then the bigger epiphany hit me, which was "If it took me 31 years to figure out HOW I like to read, how many others things do I think I dislike and thus neglect just because I haven't figured out my personal HOW?
