Auto review: 2025 Honda Civic Hatchback proves why it's No. 1
Published in Business News
Scorers and reviewers, stand by, we have ourselves a chart-topper. In 2025, the need for basic automobiles is at an all-time high. With pickup trucks exceeding $100K in some instances and seven-passenger luxury SUVs costing even more, the market needs basic entry-level commuter sedans.
In this week's Grasso’s Garage, we review the 2025 Honda Civic Hatchback, perfect for all consumers with impressive styling, utility, price, comfort and storage. We are highly impressed by the excellence this vehicle has to offer.
Wrapped in Sand Dune Pearl and powered by a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder engine with electronic CVT transmission, the two-motor hybrid system delivers 200 horsepower and 232 pound-feet of torque, with mileage of 50 mpg in the city.
Riding on 18-inch alloy wheels, the Civic Hatchback showed out very nicely. Packed with plenty of tech, the standard Honda 9-inch infotainment system is utilized in our Civic Hatchback Hybrid Sport Touring and was easy to use, as the color display was simple and nicely apportioned for all age ranges. Leather seats, a Bose 12-speaker stereo, Google built-in, dual zone climate control, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as push-button start, were just a few of the features we appreciated during our week-long test.
I have always been a Honda/Acura fan. As a current owner of a Honda, and having owned 13 Acura/Honda models previously, I can say that the new Honda Civic checks all boxes. As a new category leader in the commuter entry-level sedan market, the Honda Civic Hatchback will continue to serve consumers reliably.
