Auto review: 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser is stout
Published in Business News
With the Land Cruiser being Toyota’s “go-to” for people moving for many years, it was time for an overwhelming refresh, and in 2025 Toyota nailed it.
The 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser enters Grasso’s Garage with a vibrant Smoky Blue body color and White accented roof and shows out nicely.
Its exterior boasts a slew of standard features fit for on or off-road. Triple Beam LED Headlights, Heritage Grille, 18-inch wheels, Smart Key for doors, Power tailgate, and running boards.
On the interior, we noticed similarities with Lexus’s newest refresh of the GX550. A Multi-terrain monitor, SofTex trimmed seats, heated and cooled front seats, heated steering wheel, and a 12.3-inch Toyota Audio Multimedia infotainment, with 10-speakers and wireless audio capabilities.
On our 4WD Wagon Hybrid tester, $8,500 in additional upgrades were present which upgraded the wheels to 20-inch, added The Premium Package which included 14- speakers and JBL audio system, power moonroof and sunshade, center console cool box, digital rearview mirror, upscale leather seats and a great amount of increased safety features. Carpet Cargo mat, illuminated door sills and roof racks were also good additions.
Powering our 2025 Land Cruiser 4WD Wagon Hybrid tester was the ever popular 2.4L i-FORCE MAX 4-cylinder turbocharged engine. Pairing well with the 8-speed automatic transmission, and full time-4WD w/ electronically controlled locking rear and center differentials.
This multi-drive mode beast has the ability to serve multi-purpose, from driving to work, haul the kids around, or be the weekend beast for all of your off-roading and camping needs.
As Toyota Motor Co. and their ever-successful fleet of long-lasting vehicles continuing to get refreshed, in 2025 the Land Cruiser certainly stands out as the top dog in the fleet.
When the refreshed Lexus GX550 was rolled out last year, we declared it as our Luxury SUV of the Year, easily topping the charts.
And now with the 2025 Land Cruiser getting a well deserved refresh as well, this isn’t far behind and certainly a great bang for the buck in the mass-market manufacturing category.
